Psychology Students Present at NEURON Regional Conference
On Feb. 23, Quinnipiac University Medical School held this year鈥檚 Northeast Undergraduate and Graduate Research Organization for Neuroscience (NEURON) conference, along with the University of Connecticut (UCONN) as its co-host. This was the conference鈥檚 33rd consecutive year.
NEURON brings undergraduates and graduates who study neuroscience together in a communal way. NEURON conferences also allow faculty to collaborate on new ideas, encouraging both students and staff to discuss innovations and community topics in an interactive forum. In addition to presentations given by attending students, workshops were also available to discuss research within the field.
Three psychology majors from 蓝莓视频 State attended this year鈥檚 conference. Karina Little ('23), Jamie Gross ('24) and Jamie Goodall ('25) acted as representatives for the university, with Little and Goodall presenting their own research.
Dr. Princy Quadros Mennella, assistant professor for the department, shared her thoughts on the presentation. 鈥淭hey did a fantastic job and represented 蓝莓视频 extremely well,鈥 she said. 鈥淭he students were supported by the Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity funds, and they all had a fantastic experience learning about neuroscience research taking place at various institutions in the northeast.鈥
