Professor Barbara Keim’s Digital Computer Graphics Exhibited Internationally

Mar 29, 2023
Barbara Keim

While on sabbatical, Professor Keim continues to exhibit her digital computer graphics, internationally.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, it’s especially important to highlight women-oriented events which took place this March. Far away from our Western Massachusetts campus, Barbara Keim’s art exhibit at the Holy Art Gallery in London showcased the talent of the ݮƵ State faculty member for the world.

Keim had four pieces in the gallery’s “Aura” show, all presenting an homage to another women artist – Frida Kahlo, an artist who Keim describes as a woman who persevered despite facing many hardships in her life.

She notes, “Frida Kahlo was an incredible woman of her time period” with a “profound physical and emotional essence.” This essence inspired Keim’s colorful art which aimed to draw attention to Kahlo’s ideology that “life is a gamble.”

The dazzling collection of artwork featuring intense, vibrant hues of blue, indigo, and red was on display in London February 13 – March 13 of this year.

Keim’s work has also been featured at the which runs through the end of the month.
