The Graphic Design Minor is ideal for non-art majors looking to enhance their skills or deepen their appreciation of graphic design. To earn the minor, students must complete 18 credit hours within the Art Department, with guidance from the Art Department Chair or designated faculty. The program covers essential areas such as design fundamentals, computer graphics, and typography, offering a solid foundation in graphic design principles and techniques.

Requirements

Program Description

The Graphic Design Minor program is intended for non-art majors who choose to develop skills or an appreciation of graphic design. Students who wish to minor in graphic design are required to take 18 credit hours within the Art Department. Advisement for the courses to be taken in the minor should be by the Art Department Chair or other designated faculty.

  • three 1-credit workshops (ART 0121-0129, 0131)
